It is worthy knowing that during which eras of history Isfahan was the capital of Iran;
First, during Buyid era (4th century hegira), second, during Seljuk era (5th century hegira) which was the flourishing period of Isfahan, then at the age of Safavid dynasty (11th century hegira) and at last, during a short period of Afshary government, Isfahan was selected as the capital of Iran.
